Ramblings of a seriously bored person in Hainan, China

Wow.. busy busy..

I'm a teenager.. life's supposed to be easy and simple.. not extremely busy!! From the last few weeks of school, teaching at our kindergarden, getting ready for this summer's workshop, and tons of other stuff, it's been quite the month or two..  Hence it's been so long since I have posted.

Nothing like little Chinese kids deciding they're going to give their American foreign teacher a nickname. Check out what they came up with, 'elephant'. Yes, leany, skinny me, and all they can think of is elephant. Lately a lot have been calling me 'eleven' too.. but I don't know if that's because they think elephant is eleven or what... but.. I just thought that was interesting.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, (becuase I haven't met a Chinese person who can actually jump very high) but word around the school says that the other day a person went up to dunk while playing basketball, but jumped a little too high, and rammed his head on the rim, breaking it open and giving him a concussion. I just don't know if I can believe that or not, chinese people can't jump.

:o! lunch time, i'll try to not let it be another month before i post again.
